It’s that time of year again – School Photos!
Sometimes, we’ve dropped on lucky with our own kids when it comes to school photos. Then we’ve had those where you’ve done the perfect French plait in the morning, only for your dear daughter to take it out before the photos and her hair is all over the place…. 🙄
Or there’s the one where the photographer has clearly said ‘smile’ and they do THAT smile! The forced one where the lips are tightly pursed in a weird angle and the eyes are scrunched up. Looking like a totally different child!
We’ve ALL been there, let’s face it! Sometimes it’s entertaining – the perfect photo to put on their birthday cakes when they turn 18 for example! (I have several options for those!) But it’s always lovely to have a lasting photo that has truly captured THEM.
I have to feel sorry for school photographers though, it’s got to be a tough job having at least 300 or more kids to photo in a day. It’s hard work, I totally get that. The kids are in their school environment, which can go one way or another. I’d imagine it’s a bit of a rush too to get through all those photos in a day.
That’s why when a friend of mine said she wasn’t happy with her school photos and would do them for her… Of course I said yes and started offering School Mini Sessions.
